Twestival is a charity festival whereby 175 cities from around the world come together for events on 1 day- March 25th- raising money for one cause. This year we’re raising money for Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organization transforming the lives of the world’s poorest, most marginalized children through access to education.

Thanks to all of you that have responded with a YES or MAYBE rsvp for the LA TWESTIVAL on March 25th. We are all busy, busy, busy making sure the 2010 LA event will be one that none of you are soon to forget. That being said, I want to encourage all of you to purchase your tix ASAP as the early bird tix have already sold out! There are currently 100 tix available for $20, but once those are gone, the prices are subject to go up again as we get closer to the event date. Remember, this is a competitive worldwide event and our GOAL is to raise as much money as we can for this years charity, concern.net!

We’ve been busy updating our Twestival LA websites! Our new redesigned main website is now at LATwestival.com and our twitter page is @LATwestival. We wanted to give our website a little bit of LA flair.

Exciting news! We have a venue for our event! We’ll be partying at Level 3 at the Hollywood and Highland Complex. Level 3 is a sleek, hip Nightclub and Special event space in the Hollywood and Highland Complex with plenty of easy NO-VALET parking! And the best part is, and all donations and ticket sales go to two wonderful local LA charities — Chrysalis and LA Food Bank!

The event will be a mixer with be food, drinks, one hour of comedy, DJ and/or Karaoke. We hope you can join us and support our LA Community through twitter, networking, and community service!

Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities. It currently helps more than 2,000 individuals a year change their lives through jobs. Follow them on twitter @ChrysalisLA

We have two wonderful charities that we’re happy to be working with. We are now narrowing down a few venue options. Please stay tuned and we’ll post and tweet as soon as things are locked down. Get ready for a fun time!

Last February, we raised close to $20,000 for Charity:Water in just one night and two weeks of planning! It was a night of music, comedy, fun, and meeting new friends, while raising money to help bring clean water to those who need it!
